A client required 300+ iPads for a 2 day event in Copenhagen. Our brief was to prepare and manage the 300+ iPads and support them throughout the 2 day event. In addition to iPad hire, we installed a temporary WiFi network across the venue to ensure an always on connection to the internet. The challenge was that the 300+ delegates would congregate in numerous areas and breakouts across multiple floors. We installed 30 Wireless Access Points and liaised with the hotel to secure a fast internet connection and utilise internal cabling.
A&T supplied 56 iPads for the launch of the video game – Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. The press launch was in St Pancreas Station and was installed overnight for public viewing. The set builders did a fantastic job and the Event received a great response. The Client also gave away a number of iPads pre-loaded with the new game – but thankfully not our rental iPads.
This high profile event was at the Grosvenor house hotel in London and had over 1000 people in attendance. We had tested and verified the application at did an initial run through at our workshops in Pangbourne. Once the dedicated WiFi was installed at the hotel we did a further test. The hotel provided a simple wired connection and we installed our own routers and access points to connect everything up.
Our iPad Technicians support and setup iPad events across Europe. For this particular event we took part in a series of production meetings and were involved in the project from a very early stage. In total 10 days of Tech support and weeks of build up went into the series of meetings and huge exhibition booth in Vienna. iPads, laptops and an incredible amount of displays combined with the latest card reader technology, created an incredible delegate experience.
A&T rented over 200 iPads pre-configured with our clients event software and a crew of 2 Technicians to support. We prepared our iPads with backgrounds, Survey App and WiFi settings. The iPads were fully charged, cleaned, flight cased and ready to be handed to delegates. We sent out our own event crew on the long drive to Vienna and arrived with plenty of time to spare.

When you ask the delegates to respond to questions via their iPads, the data gets stored in a local database. Although this data can give you a wealth of information post event, the key is to use this data on stage and respond to it quickly.
